Welcome to the BC Aquasonics Synchronized Swim Club. We are a community-based sports club and non-profit organization, managed by a volunteer parent executive. The BC Aquasonics offer synchronized swimming programs for all levels of athletes, from those just learning the sport to those competing at the national level. The BC Aquasonics is the result of a merger between two competitive British Columbian synchronized swim clubs. The former "Coquitlam Coralinas Synchronized Swim Club" and "Surrey Aquatic Club" joined forces in 2001.
Club Excellence Program Overview
Synchro Canada has developed a Club Excellence Program that will act as an incentive and guideline for clubs in their everyday operations. The program offers monetary and marketing rewards to clubs that participate. The purpose of the program is for clubs to examine their operations from a holistic standpoint while providing all clubs with the opportunity to excel individually. The program is designed so any club can reach the Gold level in any given year but for most clubs the Gold Level of Excellence will be unreachable unless the club is able to consistently develop National Team athletes and coaches or excel, in some other way. For the 2009-2010 and the 2010-2011 seasons only 3 Gold Level Club Grants were given out in Canada.
