I spent five years of my life training in Coquitlam with the PacificSport Aquasonics. As a young synchronized swimmer in Vancouver, I adored every moment in the water, soaked up every new experience, and loved the time spent with my teammates - competing with each other and against each other. Moving to Coquitlam to train meant that I was surrounding myself with other top-level athletes and a coach that inspired and fostered creativity. My early passion for the sport, combined with the intense training and skills I learnt as my synchro career progressed, created the opportunity for success. Highlights were: TeamBC stealing the show at the US Open in Hawaii, making the Junior National team and having my family fly to Montreal to watch me swim, and my last duet, with Tanya, at my last ever Nationals in Victoria.... among the million other hilarious and silly memories I keep from my years as a swimmer. Results: 2001: Provincial duet (with Kathleen Olivotto) and team champion 2001 US Open Kona, Hawaii: Gold Team; Silver Duet (with Kathleen Olivotto) 2002: Junior Duet Provincial and Western champions (with Tanya Matson) 2002 FINA Junior World Championships: Bronze team; silver combo 2003 Senior Nationals: Duet Bronze (Tanya Matson); Bronze Team; Bronze Combo
