Wardrobe Orders
Prior to competition, all swimmers will be required to have a black one piece swimsuit for figures competition as well as a competition suit(s) for routines and, when it applies, headpiece(s) for their various events (team, solo, duet). Coaches, swimmers and parents will plan this prior to the competition.
Competition swimsuits and black swimsuits should not be worn to practice unless the swimmer has two of each. These items are intended for competition and therefore must be in nearly new condition.
At every competitive meet, all athletes must wear the Club T-shirt and black bottoms. Other wardrobe requirements vary, depending on the level the athlete is competing at, and should be clarified with the athlete’s coach prior to the competition. During warm-up times at meets, Club swimsuits or black swimsuits are to be worn. Black swimsuits and white caps are worn for the figures portion of the competition and competition suits for the other events. To accept awards, Synchro BC requires that athletes wear the club outfit.
In addition, athletes may be required to bring the following general equipment to competitions:
- One box of gelatin with mixing cup and pastry brush
- Hairpins, bobby pins, circular comb, elastics, hairnets
- Make-up
- one white bathing cap
- one club bathing cap
- Two nose clips
- Two pairs of goggles
- At least two towels
- Goal book or training diaries
- Money for personal expenses
- Healthy snack food and personal water bottles
- Quiet games and/or book (optional)
Please ensure that the athlete’s name appears on all suits and clothing brought to meets. Coaches are not responsible for athletes’ belongings.
