Susan Kemper has been involved in synchronized swimming for twenty-eight years as both an athlete and a coach within the province of British Columbia. She has created several National Team athletes since 1996 all competing at world level events including the 2008 Olympic Games. Susan has achieved Canadian podium success in almost every event entered into the last few years including several gold medals. She has been the Head Coach of the top ranked BC club, the PacificSport Aquasonics, for the past thirteen years where her programs foster and encourage athletes and coaches to develop self-reliance, self-responsibility and leadership skills.


In 2006, Susan became a fully certified NCCP Level 5 Coach making her the first coach in synchronized swimming with their Level 5 Certification, a personal achievement she is very proud of. As a member of Synchro Canada’s National Team Coaching Staff since 2001, Susan has led four consecutive flourishing National B Team Programs winning multiple gold and silver medals for Canada. In 2006, she was named Synchro Canada’s Senior National Coach providing her the opportunity to be an Expert Consultant at the National Training Centre where her talent of creating fit athletes was utilized. Her choreography skills are highly recognized as her BC routines have been selected multiple times to represent Canada and other countries internationally in all events.


In August of 2007, Susan was named the Head Coach of Synchro Canada’s National A Team. With this being only one year out of the 2008 Olympics, Susan took on an amazing challenge; she re-located to the National Training Centre in Montreal for the season to prepare for the Olympic Games while her husband and daughter stay in BC. Ssince that time she has completed (26) consulting contracts across Canada, has returned to her Aquasonics Head Coaching role and has taken on the most challenging role within her synchro career, being a synchro mom, her daughter Sydni is in Tier 2.
