The registration process is coordinated by the various Registrars under the direction of the Club Secretary. Registrations are accepted beginning in late spring through late October. Exceptions are in the Learn to Synch, Synchro For Fun, and Synchro For More Fun programs where registration may be accepted anytime where space is available. Swimmers are allowed a two-week trial period at the beginning of the season and may change programs without cost.
Returning swimmers with accounts in good standing are assured a spot on a team providing:
- they register before June 15.
- they meet the skill requirements.
- there are sufficient swimmers registered to form a team.
At the discretion of the coach or the board of directors, vacancies may be filled by try-outs after August 1. When registration warrants, a second team may be formed. An early-bird annual registration fee of $50.00 is assessed to all members and is non-refundable. Registration fees received before June 15 are important to reserve a place on a team for an athlete. Later registration fees are $75.00.
General fees are averaged across the ten month period, September to May, for all teams with the exception of the junior and senior teams, which are averaged across 11 months, August to June. Athletes’ monthly fees do not include any additional training costs (e.g., solo/duet training, dance, weight training, etc.), wardrobe costs, meet fees, and travel/accommodation fees. These will be billed to the athletes as they are incurred. Due to the high costs involved, travel and accommodation payments may be required to be prepaid or paid for directly by the family.
The club’s forms of revenue are athletes’ registration, monthly fees, fundraising, family commitment plan and gaming funds. These monies are used to pay for pool rentals, coaches salaries and wardrobe as well as equipment purchases and repairs.
